Eden Geothermal Collaboration with Baker Hughes

We are delighted to announce that Eden Geothermal have entered into an agreement with Baker Hughes to collaborate in the advancement of Geothermal opportunities within the UK.

Within the partnership the parties will collaborate in two key areas:

Exploring the opportunity to further develop the existing Eden Geothermal facility at the Eden Project in Cornwall and to bring it to its full potential as a high- profile public- facing demonstration of the technology’s cascading industrial, agri-food and leisure use.

Additionally, the parties will explore how their technical and commercial relationship can advance and accelerate development of other Geothermal projects in the United Kingdom.

Both parties firmly believe that the geothermal opportunity and geology of the United Kingdom is underutilised, and represents a not insignificant opportunity to decarbonise heat and even power demand in some cases.  By working together, alongside other partners, the collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of this resilient and sustainable energy source.
