Eden Geothermal CEO Gus Grand was recently invited to No. 11 Downing Street as part of a delegation to represent Cornwall’s business community at a Treasury reception hosted by Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
Events like this underline that investing in Cornwall is a commercially astute choice: from deep geothermal and critical minerals to space, tech and creative industries, our region is ready to power the UK’s clean growth.
For Eden Geothermal it was a chance to champion the role of deep geothermal in delivering resilient, renewable heat and power, ensuring energy security for the UK, by building on the progress we’ve already demonstrated at the Eden Project, where we supply geothermal heat to the Eden Project’s iconic biomes and Growing Point nursery.
Huge thanks to HM Treasury and Cornwall Chamber of Commerce for bringing such a strong Cornish delegation together in the heart of government. And once again, a massive thank you to our six Cornish MPs for giving Cornwall a voice!
